The island of Mallorca is renowned for its ideal climate throughout the year and its beautiful scenery and with the fact that Mallorca is within 2-2 ½ hours flight time from most UK airports makes it an easy destination to get to.

Helicentre Mallorca is based at Son Bonet Aerodrome, which was the original airport for Mallorca. The aerodrome is ideally situated, 6 miles north of Palma and within minutes of the major motorway running across the island.

We currently operate Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters which are available for Training, Type Rate Conversions and Self Fly Hire.

For our existing pilots – why not take a break and add to your flying experience whilst taking in some breathtaking views of the Island. Accommodation, car hire and airport transfers can easily be arranged for you.

Pilots vs Mechanics

After every flight, pilots fill out a form called a gripe sheet, which conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with the aircraft during flight that require attention.

The ground crew read the gripe sheet and correct the problems, they then respond in writing on the lower half of the form what remedial action has been taken. The pilot reviews the gripe sheet before the next flight.

Never let it be said that engineers have no sense of humour.

P=Problem S=Solution

P - Left inside tyre almost needs replacing

S - Almost replaced left inside tyre

P - Evidence of oil leaks on right main landing gear

S - Evidence removed

P - Aircraft handles funny

S - Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious
